There are a lot of things about college that I miss, but having a roommate is definitely not one of them. To be completely honest, having to share my living space with someone else is probably the one thing I hated the most during my college experience.
College is the first time you get to live on your own, away from your parents and your siblings, it takes a lot of adjustments to get used to that new situation. Having to share that situation with another person who just moved out of their parents' home, is not an easy task.
This Reddit story gives you a perfect example of a part of that struggle–sharing a bathroom. We've all had a screaming fight through the door with our sibling because they ran into the bathroom at the exact time you were planning on going in the shower. But with a completely new person as a roommate, you can't really do that. You have to find a way to get along without the fighting, and let me tell you, that rarely works.
